Bakhoor


How to Burn Bakhoor:

  1. 1. Set aside a large, well ventilated area of your home to burn your bakhoor.
  2. 2. Decide whether the bakhoor will be burned using an electric burner or a wood burner. If it is an electric burner, follow the instructions in the box
  3. 3. If it is a wood burner, place the burner in the area you selected in step 1.
  4. 4. Get a bakhoor or Shisha coal (specific coals are required, Coals used for grilling should not be used in anyway).
  5. 5. Hold the coal with a tong and light the coal using a grill lighter. Grill lighters are recommended so that you don't have to keep your hands close to the ignited coal.
  6. 6. Place the coal in the burner. Remember, this is only for non-electric burners.
  7. 7. Open your bakhoor bottle and pick out one or two large pieces. The larger the piece, the slower it will burn. Place it gently on the coal; do not push it down, as it will be very hot.
  8. 8. Open any doors or windows in the room if the smoke is too strong at first.
  9. 9. As the chips settle in and the coal cools down, your home will smell like a royal middle eastern castle
